 Displayguard® from Herwin, Inc. offers a dynamic LED display
visible from 200 feet away. These moving message signs
provide for increased industrial safety and warehouse safety.
Easy-to-use software allows you to control one or many
Displayguard® safety message signs from any Windows based PC.
Herwin, Inc. was organized and incorporated in 2002 with the
primary mission of developing, patenting and marketing the
Displayguard® communication system. After over 25 years of
working in and observing the material handling industry, Harry
Smith, president of Herwin, envisioned the
Displayguard® concept.
Harry believed that by improving communications with the armies
of forklifts, floor personnel, and other mobile equipment
operating in warehouses and other production facilities,
industrial safety could be improved and accident frequency
reduced.
 Combining a specially designed industrial guardrail, with a
highly-visible LED sign and intelligent interactive software
installed on a single PC or multi-computer network, resulted in
the Displayguard® communications system.
In 2005 the Displayguard® patent was awarded to Herwin, Inc. for
these durable moving message signs that can improve plant
communication, provide a highly visible safety message, and
enhance the operations of material handlers, manufacturers.

In 2004 Herwin, Inc. began selling their
Guardsmith® industrial guardrail system. This safety
product can be used in conjunction with Displayguard® units,
installed separately in new guardrail projects, or retrofitted into
existing installations produced by major guardrail manufacturers.
 In addition to Displayguard® and
Guardsmith®, the
Herwin product lines include
Docksmith© aluminum
and steel dockboards and yard ramps, and
Notchguard© a special
use guardrail design that prevents forklift forks from traveling
under guardrail barriers and damaging stored materials or expensive
equipment.
Herwin’s administrative offices and warehouse are located in
southwestern Pennsylvania a short distance from the intersection of
the Pennsylvania turnpike and Interstate 70. This location
